Astin is a storyteller first, rockstar always. She describes herself as a Multimedia Artist specializing in Writing, Filmmaking, and Musicianship. She is currently producing Season 2 of her workplace comedy, “Real Fakes,” a satiric commentary on materialism and race, set in a knockoff handbag shop. 
When she’s not vocalizing her deadpan societal concerns on camera, she screams them aloud on stage as one half of punk & soul duo Thee BLK Pearl.  Their debut EP 2:22, released Feb 22, 2022. 
These days, she resides in her hometown of Atlanta, GA, educating elementary school filmmakers on what it means to believe 100%  in the magic of storytelling.
