Showcased Artist

Tamara Jade is a Singer/Songwriter/Actress from Maryland currently living in New York. She is an alumna of Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music where she received a BA in Sociology and a BMus in Vocal Performance. Whether she is singing an operatic aria or jazz standard, Tamara’s voice is known for its gorgeous timbre, impeccable control and extensive range.

A classically trained vocalist and self-taught pianist from Prince George’s County, MD, her style reaches across many different genres and emulates such legendary artists as Chaka Khan, Karen Clark-Sheard and Leontyne Price. Yet by fusing her own artistic quality, skill and originality, Tamara continuously shapes a unique sound of her own.  She has shared the stage with Daryl Coley, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell, Jennifer Holiday, the Zac Brown Band, and most recently, Gov’t Mule.

In December 2016, Tamara completed her New York debut in the world premier of The Classical Theater of Harlem’s “The First Noel” at the historic Apollo Theater. Tamara is excited to announce that in February 2017, she joined the McDonald’s Faces of Black History tour.
