Ashley Cruel is a poet, actress, and educator from Albany, Ga. She received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in acting from Howard University. There she developed her love of writing. Her work is inspired by her three pillars;  Faith, Family, and Freedom. She is currently developing a short film of poems entitled “Ascension”.  Ascension highlights the impact of insecurity, damage, and loss but ultimately speaks to the power of God’s redemptive love.
